Case Study: SAE achieves 40% cost reduction and 99.9% availability with Microsoft Azure

SAE Digital Transformation Initiative

The SAE, a decentralized agency of Mexico's Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, faced the challenge of modernizing its legacy data centers to improve service, increase reliability, and reduce costs for its vital public asset management operations. To achieve this digital transformation, SAE partnered with Microsoft Corporation to migrate its entire technological infrastructure to the Microsoft Azure public cloud platform.

By migrating its three data centers to Microsoft Azure, SAE successfully consolidated 114 servers and over 100 websites. Microsoft provided the implementation and ongoing Premier Support, ensuring a secure and rapid transition. The results were significant, including an approximate 40% reduction in costs and an increase in system availability from 90% to 99.9%. Microsoft Azure provided the SAE with a more robust, scalable, and secure platform to better serve citizens and government entities.
