RV Builder Simplifies Management, Improves Experience with New Licensing Program

Winnebago Industries, a manufacturer of recreational vehicles, faced challenges managing its Microsoft software licenses across three facilities. Their previous Microsoft Volume Licensing agreements were time-consuming to renew annually, difficult to manage, and made it hard to access software and information. They struggled to meet minimum purchase requirements, leading to 13 separate agreements since 2000, which created administrative confusion and prevented them from achieving higher volume discounts.

Microsoft implemented its Microsoft Products and Services Agreement (MPSA) and the improved Microsoft Volume Licensing Center for Winnebago. This provided a single, non-expiring agreement that consolidated all locations, simplified management through an online portal, and allowed for immediate software downloads. As a result, Winnebago saved significant time and money by eliminating annual renewals, gaining full volume discounts, and benefiting from tax exemptions on downloaded software, while greatly improving the experience for its IT staff.
