Retail leader Komplett focuses on customer satisfaction with full landscape migration

Komplett Group, the Scandinavian e-commerce retailer serving 1.8 million customers, wanted to simplify its IT estate, improve customer service, and gain the flexibility to scale for events like Black Friday. Its on-premises SAP data centers and web platform were expensive and slow to maintain, so the company turned to Microsoft Corporation and Microsoft Azure, including SAP on Azure, to support its cloud-first strategy.

Microsoft Corporation, working with partners ATEA Norway and Pearl Consulting, migrated Komplett Group’s SAP environment and web platform to Azure in less than five months. The move enabled rapid scaling to more than 500 views per second and delivery of 21 TB of data with strong response times, while also improving speed to market and reducing the need for hardware-heavy capacity planning.
