A Microsoft Corporation Case Study
Sunbelt Rentals, a US-based equipment rental company, faced the challenge of establishing a reliable disaster recovery solution to ensure its around-the-clock services remained uninterrupted. To mitigate this risk, they wanted to create a colocation facility but needed a cost-effective approach. They turned to Microsoft Corporation to leverage its virtualization and recovery technologies.
Microsoft provided a solution built on Windows Server 2012 R2 with Hyper-V and Hyper-V Replica, managed by Microsoft System Center and coordinated with Microsoft Azure Site Recovery. With consulting help from Microsoft Services, this implementation provided Sunbelt with an affordable and flexible disaster recovery plan. The solution increased IT staff efficiency by enabling remote management, offered the flexibility to easily replicate servers, and provided significant cost savings under their existing Microsoft Enterprise Agreement.
