Zwanger – Pesiri Radiology, a provider of medical imaging services, faced challenges in manually tracking patient radiation exposure to meet compliance standards and in optimizing the usage of its expensive scanners to control costs. To address this, they partnered with Microsoft and implemented the Siemens teamplay healthcare data framework hosted on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

The solution from Microsoft and Siemens automated data collection from over 50 scanners, streamlining compliance and providing insights into equipment usage. This allowed Zwanger – Pesiri to reduce radiation risks, increase scanner efficiency from two to three patients per hour to boost revenue, and lay the foundation for broader industry collaboration to lower overall healthcare costs.
