Rackspace Hosting, one of the world’s largest managed cloud providers, needed a better way to monitor and manage Azure workloads for thousands of customers with more flexibility, security, and self-service than its existing tools could offer. As Rackspace expanded its cloud offerings, it turned to Microsoft Corporation’s Azure, Azure Monitor, and Operations Management Suite to create a unified monitoring view.

Microsoft Corporation helped Rackspace implement OMS Log Analytics and Azure Monitor with automated deployment, custom alerting, and integration into its incident management system. The result was onboarding new customer environments in minutes, a proof of concept completed in about two months, and the ability to monitor thousands of virtual machines and hundreds of terabytes of data while improving security, reporting, and customer responsiveness.
