Promedica Innovations, a large U.S. healthcare laboratory operation, needed to replace a paper-based system for equipment maintenance and regulatory documentation. Working with Microsoft Corporation and Kaonsoft, the organization sought a more efficient way to track inspections, keep instruments calibrated, and avoid missed compliance tasks across a highly regulated environment.

Microsoft Corporation helped deliver the Laboratory Assured Compliance Solution (LACS), built with Visual Studio Tools for Xamarin and hosted on Azure. The mobile app digitized maintenance workflows, centralized records, and sent alerts for overdue tasks, resulting in 100% compliance for log accuracy and task completion. It also saved technicians about 13 hours per month, or 156 hours per year, while eliminating paper storage needs.
