Prime Property and Data Discovery with CloudBased Search and Analytics

JLL, the Chicago-based global real estate services firm, needed to differentiate its property listings platform and make local market data easier to find and analyze. Working with Microsoft Corporation and the Microsoft Azure platform, including Azure Search and Azure HDInsight, JLL aimed to improve search performance, add cloud scalability, and give employees and customers better access to commercial property and market insights.

Microsoft Corporation helped JLL move JLLproperty.com to Azure, enabling faster indexing, faceted and geographic search, and scalable query performance across tens of thousands of properties in 42 countries. Microsoft also supported a big data solution on Azure HDInsight that combined multiple data sources for analysis in tools like Power View and Power Query, helping local teams query semi-structured data and uncover trends; JLL later piloted Azure Machine Learning for predictive pricing models, extending the value of the platform.
