Precision Drilling, a Calgary-based energy company operating more than 230 drilling rigs worldwide, needed a cost-effective, scalable platform because its existing technology wasn’t delivering the value it required. Microsoft Corporation helped Precision Drilling move SAP S/4HANA to Azure, with Azure Security Services supporting threat monitoring and response. The new setup integrated systems and data to improve agility and efficiency, and Precision Drilling expects to cut infrastructure costs by 10–20% while freeing resources to focus more on serving customers.
