A Microsoft Corporation Case Study
Pošta Slovenije, the state-owned postal service of Slovenia, sought to modernize its field operations for 2,500 postal workers. The challenge was to replace a legacy paper-based system with a modern mobile solution to improve efficiency and customer service. They partnered with Microsoft Corporation, leveraging Microsoft Intune and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager to develop and manage this new initiative.
Microsoft Services developed and deployed a mobile app on Windows Phone devices, which was integrated with small mobile printers for digital proof-of-delivery. The solution was managed via a cloud-based portal using Microsoft Intune and System Center Configuration Manager. The results included a dramatic reduction in paperwork, significant cost savings, and more efficient customer service. The success has led Pošta Slovenije to plan a full rollout and to explore further digital transformations using Microsoft Azure.
