The solution involved implementing a disaster recovery site for SAP within Microsoft Azure. This provided Alvogen with low-cost, cross-geography protection, paying only for the servers when needed. The results included significant cost savings by avoiding a large capital expense, easier disaster recovery testing, and greater business agility. This allows Alvogen to focus its resources on its core pharmaceutical business while Microsoft manages the infrastructure.
