P2ware expands services and speeds delivery using Azure Service Fabric

P2ware, a Poland-based provider of project management software for midmarket customers, wanted to move beyond its on-premises roots and modernize a complex, highly customized platform while preserving feature parity between cloud and customer-managed deployments. Its biggest challenge was handling thousands of plan-specific data models, heavy caching, and high memory usage in a way that could scale efficiently and reduce deployment and customization time.

Microsoft Corporation helped P2ware implement Azure Service Fabric with an actor-model, stateful microservices architecture for its plan and organization services, plus supporting Azure services such as Azure Active Directory, Azure Key Vault, Azure Load Balancer, and Azure Virtual Machine Scale Sets. The result was a self-healing, more scalable system with 10x better Azure resource utilization and density, dramatically lower request latency, and nearly zero tenant provisioning cost.
