OrionTech leads a remote large-scale “telemigration” to Azure for a customer in Germany

OrionTech, an IT consultant in Argentina, faced the challenge of building and remotely migrating a virtual data center for a customer in Germany in record time. Working with Microsoft Corporation’s Azure platform and partner Prisma Soluciones Tecnologicas S.R.L., OrionTech needed to scale an existing application to support a much larger operation while meeting strict deadlines and avoiding on-site deployment.

Microsoft Corporation helped OrionTech deliver the full Azure-based environment in under 45 days, including infrastructure, communications, security, and application testing. The solution enabled support for 1,050 service stations, 200 back-office stations, and secure collaboration portals with more than 2,800 users, while processing over 45,000 files per day. It also reduced the need for servers, maintenance, space, power, and cooling, improving agility, reliability, and cost efficiency.
