Online retailer solves challenges with Azure Machine Learning service

ASOS, the London-based online fashion retailer, wanted to improve targeted product recommendations but was slowed by three separate data-modeling stacks and fragmented collaboration across its data science, Big Data, and engineering teams. It needed a faster way to develop and deploy models, and it used Microsoft Azure Machine Learning service, along with Azure Cosmos DB, to address the challenge.

Microsoft Corporation helped ASOS unify its tech stack and create cross-functional teams that could work more efficiently together. The result was a major reduction in time-to-market for recommendation models, cutting development from about six months to roughly six weeks, while improving productivity, agility, and collaboration across a team of about 50 data scientists and engineers.
