The Norwegian Refugee Council, a large nonprofit operating in 30 countries, needed to replace outdated, insecure, and sometimes counterfeit software across its offices while improving support for its field teams and education programs. Working with Microsoft Corporation, the organization adopted a standardized platform that included Windows 10, Office 2016, and related collaboration tools to create a more secure, compliant, and consistent working environment.

Microsoft Corporation implemented Windows 10, Office 2016, Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Skype for Business to modernize NRC’s operations and move more of its work to the cloud. The results included easier ICT support, safer data, better collaboration across 130 offices, and the ability to work offline and sync later in low-connectivity areas. NRC also migrated more than 5,300 accounts and 30 offices’ files to Office 365, helping the organization save time and money while scaling its services for more refugees.
