Nordic IT services provider modernizes public services with Azure Stack

Tieto, a Nordic software and services provider serving government customers, worked with the Norwegian municipality of Drammen to modernize public services and support its digital transformation. Using Microsoft Azure Stack and Tieto’s Public 360° case, document, and records management solution, the city aimed to make housing and other citizen services easier to access and manage as its population and service demands grow.

Microsoft Corporation enabled Tieto to deliver Public 360° as an automated hybrid-cloud service on Azure Stack, including operating services, updates, support, external publishing, and integration. The result was greater agility, scalability, compliance, and security, while reducing the need for the municipality to maintain hardware and software. The solution also streamlined administrative work and improved digital access for 67,000 residents, with the city preparing to serve more than 100,000 people.
