NIIT Technologies parks its infrastructure on Azure, enhances customer ROI by 9 percent

NIIT Technologies, a global IT services organization, was struggling with rising infrastructure and operating costs as its 10,000-person workforce and mission-critical workloads grew across six datacenters. With seasonal project demand, storage pressures, and strict security needs in banking, insurance, and travel, the company needed a more agile and scalable platform. Microsoft Corporation, through Microsoft Azure, was brought in to help NIIT Technologies modernize its IT environment.

Microsoft Corporation implemented a cloud migration to Microsoft Azure using services such as Azure ExpressRoute, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Site Recovery, Azure SQL Database, and Azure security groups. The move improved availability, performance, and data protection while shifting NIIT Technologies from capital expenses to operational spending, cutting overall costs by 9%. The company also reused 216 cores and 720 GB of RAM, gaining greater flexibility, scalability, and on-demand capacity.
