Dangote Industries Limited, a major Nigerian manufacturing conglomerate, faced challenges with its on-premises data center due to an unreliable power supply and lengthy hardware replacement times. To improve resilience and support a new refinery project, the company partnered with Microsoft and its partner, Lotus Beta Analytics, to implement a hybrid cloud solution using Microsoft Azure services.

The solution utilized Microsoft Azure Site Recovery and Microsoft Azure StorSimple to create a reliable disaster recovery and backup system. This migration provided a stable cloud environment, allowing for the successful move of a critical enterprise content management system. Microsoft's technology enabled Dangote's staff in multiple locations to collaborate more effectively and removed inefficiencies from business processes, establishing the foundation for a more resilient operation.
