NewOrbit takes flight with Azure DocumentDB

NewOrbit, a UK-based manufacturing tech firm, needed a highly scalable and fast database solution to power a new car-mileage tracking application handling millions of records without the overhead of managing infrastructure. They turned to Microsoft and its Azure Cosmos DB service to meet this challenge.

Microsoft's solution involved using Azure Cosmos DB to store complex vehicle records, enabling data to be retrieved in under 10 milliseconds. The managed service provided near-infinite scalability and eliminated administrative overhead. As a result, NewOrbit built a high-performance application at an economical cost, with storage for 130 million records costing very little, and solidified client trust by leveraging Microsoft's robust, cloud-managed infrastructure.
