New Zealand’s St Andrew’s College embraces tech for security and world-class education

St. Andrew’s College, a large New Zealand school, needed to strengthen security and keep improving digital learning as its Microsoft 365 environment grew. As its licensing renewal approached, the college chose Microsoft Corporation’s Microsoft 365 Education A5 to expand cloud-based teaching tools, data use, and protection across email, files, apps, and sign-ins.

Microsoft Corporation implemented a broader security and productivity stack including Azure Active Directory Identity Protection, Office 365 Secure Score, Teams, OneNote, Power BI, Surface devices, and Minecraft: Education Edition. The result was stronger threat protection, better visibility into risk, easier classroom collaboration, and richer data-driven decision-making; Microsoft Power BI also gave staff more accurate, up-to-date insights for student welfare and operations, while Microsoft tools became embedded across the school’s teaching and activities.
