A Microsoft Corporation Case Study
The University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand, faced declining student enrollment after the 2011 earthquake and needed a better way to manage recruitment. It turned to Microsoft Corporation, using Dynamics 365 hosted on Azure, to digitize and streamline both international and domestic student admissions.
Microsoft Corporation helped the university build a CRM-based recruitment portal with Fusion5, simplifying applications for international agents and connecting Dynamics 365 with Office 365. The results were significant: international application processing dropped from six weeks to five days, incomplete applications fell by 30 percent, international offers rose by 8 percent, and the university expects to grow international enrollment from 1,300 to 2,200 students, adding about NZD22 million in revenue.
