National Bank of Canada empowers and engages workforce with Microsoft 365, elevates customer and employee experience

National Bank of Canada, a major Canadian banking institution with 10,000+ employees, needed to modernize the way its workforce collaborated and served customers in a fast-changing banking environment. By working with Microsoft Corporation and adopting Microsoft 365, the bank aimed to improve employee engagement, support mobile work, and deliver better customer and employee experiences across more than 400 branches and its Montreal headquarters.

Microsoft Corporation helped National Bank of Canada migrate email to Exchange Online and roll out Microsoft 365 E3/E5, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Outlook, Yammer, Stream, and Windows 10. In just nine months, most of the bank’s 24,000 employees adopted the new tools, with Teams becoming a major collaboration hub and SharePoint streamlining document workflows. The results included faster communication, more efficient branch operations, reduced time spent on manual tasks, stronger employee engagement, and improved customer service through more agile, mobile work.
