MVideo, Russia’s largest electronics and home appliances retailer, wanted to modernize in-store customer service and improve sales performance by replacing desktop-based selling with mobile tools. Working with Microsoft Corporation and Windows 10 devices, the company launched a “Real Time Dealing” project to equip more than 5,000 sales assistants across 200 stores with tablets and phablets for mobile consulting, inventory checks, and personalized offers.

Microsoft Corporation helped MVideo implement a Windows 10-based solution integrated with its existing systems, loyalty program, and security needs. In a 30-store pilot, sales rose by 5% on average, with some stores seeing double-digit gains, customer loyalty program sign-ups increased by 30%, and 20% of customers who received personalized multi-item follow-up emails returned to buy, with up to 60% returning to the same store and assistant.
