The solution implemented by Microsoft Azure was a massive, secure hybrid cloud, one of the largest in healthcare. It provided a central portal and applications for over 10,000 providers, enabling improved care coordination, chronic-disease management, and real-time performance analytics. As a result of this IT transformation with Microsoft, Mount Sinai expects to improve population health and reduce avoidable hospital use by 25 percent over five years.
