Mortgage bank modernizes the lending experience with Microsoft Azure

American Financial Resources (AFR), a midsized mortgage lender, wanted to streamline the cumbersome and disorganized lending process for brokers, correspondents, and homebuyers. To deliver a more modern digital mortgage experience, AFR partnered with Microsoft Corporation and used Azure through implementation partner Tallan.

Microsoft Corporation’s Azure cloud services formed the foundation of AFR’s secure digital mortgage platform, enabling collaboration, mobility, and stronger infrastructure protection. The result was a much leaner operation—AFR says it runs about 70% leaner, closes more loans with fewer staff, and now processes more than US$1 billion in mortgages each year.
