Moravian City of Olomouc rolls out secure digital contract procurement system

The City of Olomouc, a municipal government in the Czech Republic, faced an inefficient and non-transparent procurement process for public tenders. Their decentralized system made it difficult for different departments to issue calls for bids independently, slowing down cycles and limiting competition. They partnered with Microsoft and its local partner, NWT, to implement a cloud-based solution.

NWT implemented the Paveza system on Microsoft Azure and SQL Server, which centralized the procurement process into a single transparent platform. The solution automated workflows, simplified reporting, and made tender opportunities easily accessible to a wider pool of businesses. For the customer, this resulted in a much more efficient operation, increased transparency, and significant cost savings by fostering greater competition, with the number of bidders per tender increasing dramatically.
