Monroe One BOCES removes paper trail with PowerApps

Monroe One BOCES, a New York K-12 educational service organization, wanted to streamline its workers’ compensation reporting process, which had relied on handwritten notes, faxing, mailing, and manual data entry into Excel. Using Microsoft Corporation’s Microsoft PowerApps, the team began digitizing forms and improving visibility into injury claims.

Microsoft Corporation helped Monroe One BOCES build a more connected, automated workflow that linked datasets and reduced silos. The new process cut form handling from more than an hour to about five minutes, and by the end of the 2019 academic year the organization had saved over 12,000 sheets of paper and the associated print costs.
