Mogile Technologies, a small Canadian startup, created the ChargeHub platform to help electric-vehicle drivers find public charging stations across North America. As its user base and station database grew, the company needed a more scalable, cloud-based architecture, and turned to Microsoft Corporation for Microsoft Azure services including Azure App Service, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Search, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Storage.

Microsoft Corporation helped Mogile Technologies migrate to Azure Cosmos DB with Mongo protocol and run ChargeHub on a centralized, scalable cloud platform. The solution required little maintenance, improved analytics and alerts, and powers near-real-time charging-station data for about 200,000 users; Mogile estimates that around one-third of electric-car buyers in the U.S. and Canada use ChargeHub.
