Miraflores Educational Center revolutionizes the daily life of its students and teachers with Office 365

Centro Educacional Miraflores, a K-12 school in Rio de Janeiro, wanted to bring technology into everyday learning for its 636 students and 180 staff while improving collaboration among teachers and administrators. Using Microsoft Corporation’s Office 365, the school also aimed to move beyond a traditional “teachers’ room” model and make digital tools part of teaching from early childhood onward.

Microsoft Corporation, working with partner Big Brain, helped Miraflores turn SharePoint into an intranet and use OneNote, OneDrive, email, Skype, and Sway across classrooms and mobile devices. The result was stronger teacher collaboration, more engaged students, and more interactive learning projects, including emailing parents, English practice with U.S. students, and even a robot project that sent images to NASA. Miraflores also earned Safe Digital School certification, reinforcing the safe and effective use of technology.
