Matador Holding, a Slovakian automotive industry company, wanted to migrate its hundreds of computers from older Windows operating systems to a modern, stable, and unified platform. Their challenge was to ensure a smooth transition with strong compatibility for its systems, all before support for their existing Windows 7 infrastructure was discontinued. To meet this need, they worked with Microsoft to implement Windows 10.

Microsoft provided its Windows 10 Enterprise operating system as the solution. The implementation was completed without any major complications across their approximately 800 devices. The results included improved system stability, enhanced compatibility, and users reporting that their machines ran faster, giving older hardware a "second wind." The Microsoft solution was so successful that the company reported no user complaints and is now planning to introduce Windows 10 on tablets and smartphones as part of its future Industry 4.0 initiatives.
