MACOM enables highly secure, next-generation technology

MACOM, a large U.S. semiconductor company, was managing rapid organic growth and a series of acquisitions that left it with many disparate systems, tools, and security environments. Microsoft Corporation helped MACOM roll out its transformation in phases, starting with IT and then planning to extend into business units. The company consolidated document sharing onto OneDrive, strengthened security monitoring with Defender, and began moving toward a cloud-first infrastructure with Azure; as a result, employees reported high satisfaction, collaboration improved across the organization, and MACOM said it could scale better and deliver products faster to customers.
