A Microsoft Corporation Case Study

Lincoln University takes on over 4,000 applications by throwing out the paper

Lincoln University, a specialist land-based university in New Zealand, faced a challenge with its inefficient, paper-based enrollment process for over 4,000 annual applications. To streamline operations and improve the experience for both students and staff, the university partnered with Microsoft and leveraged its Microsoft Dynamics CRM product to find a modern solution.

The solution, implemented with Microsoft partner Fusion5, involved fully utilizing Microsoft Dynamics CRM and connecting it to the university's existing systems via SQL Server. This created the centralized MyLinc portal, which automated the enrollment process, eliminated paper, and secured student data. For Microsoft's customer, the results included a vastly reduced administrative burden for staff, a seamless and more personalized application process for students, and the foundation for a long-term data-driven relationship with its students.
