Libbey Inc. uses digital transformation to lift its 200-year-old company into the cloud

Libbey, a 200-year-old global tableware manufacturer, faced aging ERP systems that could not communicate across functions or support its growing e-commerce needs. To modernize its operations and move into the cloud, Libbey partnered with Microsoft Corporation using Azure, Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, Office 365, and Microsoft Services.

Microsoft Corporation helped Libbey plan and begin a phased digital transformation, starting with an e-commerce platform built on Dynamics 365 sales-order-to-cash processes. The program is designed to extend into global ERP, CRM, and Azure-based operations with AI and machine learning, while a joint Center of Excellence supports rollout and training; phase one was completed in early 2019, setting the stage for faster, more agile global operations.
