With Microsoft's help, Infosys redesigned and centralized its SharePoint architecture, leveraging virtualization with Microsoft Hyper-V Server. This consolidation resulted in a 50% reduction in farms and a 40% cut in server costs. The project is expected to save Infosys US$900,000 over three years, while also improving scalability, speeding up application deployment, and enhancing overall governance and collaboration.
