Đuro Đaković Termoenergetska Postrojenja (ĐĐ TEP), a leading Central European manufacturer of boiler pressure parts, faced significant challenges with its IT resilience and data security following a fire that damaged its server room and a ransomware attack. The company needed a robust disaster recovery solution and a more secure way to manage its sensitive corporate information, prompting a search for a new IT approach with the help of vendor Microsoft Corporation and its Azure services.

The solution involved implementing Microsoft Azure Site Recovery for a cost-effective disaster recovery service and Microsoft StorSimple Virtual Array to securely archive important commercial and legal data. This move to the Microsoft Azure cloud transferred the responsibility for security and infrastructure resilience to Microsoft, eliminating the customer's worries about physical and virtual threats. As a result, ĐĐ TEP gained a highly reliable and secure IT environment and plans to explore more services within the Azure platform, viewing its partnership with Microsoft as a long-term relationship.
