Leading cancer treatment center turns to Lync for business-enhancing collaboration

The Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center, a leading cancer treatment provider, needed to modernize its outdated PBX phone system to enable greater collaboration among its 150 employees, including medical professionals who often worked outside the hospital. To address this challenge, the center turned to Microsoft and its Lync 2013 platform.

Microsoft’s Lync 2013 solution, implemented with partner COMIT Solutions, provided a unified platform for instant messaging, voice and video calls, and conferencing. This resulted in significantly improved internal collaboration and cost savings of up to 30 percent on call expenses. The solution also enhanced mobility by allowing staff to use Lync on their devices as an internal line, reducing the need for corporate travel and enabling faster resolution of technical issues.
