Case Study: Larnia achieves rapid growth in domestic hiring services with Microsoft Azure

A Microsoft Corporation Case Study

Preview of the Larnia Case Study

Larnia harnesses cloud and open source for big results with domestic hiring service

Larnia, a Colombian cloud-based business, needed a way to simplify the legal and logistical complexity of hiring, managing, and paying domestic workers across Colombia and Latin America. The company chose Microsoft Corporation’s Azure platform, along with open source technologies like Ubuntu Linux, to build a web service that helps employers stay compliant with labor laws.

Microsoft Corporation’s Azure services helped Larnia launch quickly and scale reliably, using tools such as Azure Container Service, Azure Redis Cache, and SQL Server. The result was rapid growth from launch to more than 800 customers in under a year, with the potential to reach 40,000 customers within five years, while reducing downtime and end-of-month performance issues.
