Kohler, a 145-year-old consumer goods company, wanted to move beyond traditional tubs and toilets and enter the smart-home market with connected kitchen and bath products. Working with Microsoft Corporation and its Azure IoT platform, Kohler faced the challenge of building secure, scalable digital products quickly despite limited software and IoT expertise.

Microsoft Corporation helped Kohler launch KOHLER Konnect using Azure services such as Azure IoT Hub, Stream Analytics, Cosmos DB, and Power BI. The result was a demo completed in just two months, cutting Kohler’s development cycle in half and lowering startup investment, while also creating a connected platform that can gather product data, improve customer experiences, and support faster innovation.
