A Microsoft Corporation Case Study
KEXP, a Seattle-based nonprofit radio station and arts organization, needed a way to support its growing global audience and online services despite a limited IT budget and a small tech team. Microsoft Corporation provided Azure, helping KEXP run listener-facing features, streaming, playlists, and other digital services without having to build and maintain its own large infrastructure.
With Microsoft Corporation’s Azure cloud services, KEXP gained scalable capacity, global reach, cloud storage, and ready-made infrastructure components that let the station do more with less. The result was a more reliable platform for web and mobile listeners worldwide, while freeing staff to focus on programming and mission-driven work; KEXP also began using Azure-collected data to uncover insights into listening and curation trends.
