Japanese supermarket increases productivity and connects colleagues in the cloud

Daiei, a Japanese supermarket chain, sought to improve communication between its head office and numerous stores and replace its outdated email system. To address this, the company worked with Microsoft and chose to migrate to Microsoft Office 365, seeking a cloud-based solution that could boost productivity and information sharing.

With support from Microsoft FastTrack, Daiei deployed Microsoft Office 365, gaining new capabilities like Skype for Business for video conferencing and cloud file storage. This solution eliminated commute times of up to 90 minutes for store manager meetings and accelerated decision-making. The company also plans to use Windows 10 tablets with Skype for Business on the sales floor to serve customers more quickly and efficiently.
