@Rias NPO Support Center, a Japanese nonprofit in Kamaishi City, faced the huge challenge of rebuilding after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami destroyed its records, infrastructure, and community support systems. Working with Microsoft Corporation and using Dynamics 365 Field Service, the organization needed a way to reconnect with displaced residents, track their needs, and coordinate recovery efforts across temporary housing sites.
Microsoft Corporation implemented a cloud-based Dynamics 365 solution that gave @Rias a central database to log household visits, concerns, health issues, and follow-ups in real time. The result was a faster, more consistent outreach process that helped staff monitor 3,164 temporary-housing households, improve coordination with government and aid partners, and strengthen trust with survivors while supporting long-term recovery and resilience.
