IT distributor drives cloud business for global resellers with automated cloud marketplace

Ingram Micro, a global IT distributor serving more than 200,000 resellers, needed to simplify and scale the sale and management of cloud services. Using Microsoft Office 365 and the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider program, it set out to replace slow, manual provisioning with a faster, more automated cloud marketplace.

Microsoft Corporation helped Ingram Micro build its Cloud Marketplace so resellers could provision customers in less than a minute instead of days, manage billing and support in one place, and bundle more than 200 cloud offerings. The results included a jump from 150 seats sold to five resellers to 7,000 seats sold to 140 resellers in three weeks, along with higher renewal rates, lower administrative overhead, and new revenue opportunities.
