Bucher Vaslin, a long-established French maker of grape and wine processing equipment, wanted to modernize its operations and help customers better monitor equipment during critical winemaking stages. Working with Microsoft Corporation and partners AIS and TechData, the company turned to Microsoft Azure to create a connected IoT experience for its Winect mobile app.

Microsoft Corporation helped implement Winect using Azure, Azure IoT Hub, and Azure Stream Analytics to collect machine data, analyze it in the cloud, and deliver real-time alerts and remote monitoring for users. The result was lower costs, streamlined operations, and greater peace of mind for customers, who no longer needed to check production overnight or on weekends; the solution also enabled faster diagnosis and technician intervention, with scalable connectivity for older and newer machines.
