International Christian University, a higher education institution in Japan, required a modernization of its internal portal to address security vulnerabilities, migrate from on-premises servers, and achieve compatibility with smart devices. To solve these challenges, the university worked with Microsoft Corporation, deploying a solution built on Microsoft Azure and Office 365 alongside partner-provided open-source technologies.

With Microsoft's solution, ICU successfully moved its infrastructure to the cloud, significantly enhancing security through Azure with the KUSANAGI add-on. The deployment of Office 365 also helped the university go paperless, saving substantial time and money on meeting preparations. The new system provided robust search features, improved reliability, and full smart device compatibility, allowing staff to manage content easily and strengthening trust in the university's digital presence.
