Fudura, a power and utilities company in the Netherlands, needed a more flexible and cost-effective way to collect, validate, and distribute telemetry from gas and electricity meters. Its legacy on-premises platform was too rigid to keep up with customer demands, faster time-to-market goals, and the need for competitive pricing in a changing energy market. Microsoft Corporation was involved through Azure, with the solution built in collaboration with Info Support.

Microsoft Corporation helped Fudura implement a microservices-based Metering-as-a-Service platform on Azure using Service Fabric, Azure IoT Hub, and Azure Stream Analytics. The new architecture enabled scalable device connectivity, provisioning, monitoring, and custom business scenarios, while improving reliability and performance. As a result, Fudura can provide customers with detailed insight into energy flows at a very competitive price point, with greater agility and faster innovation.
