Case Study: Exquitech brings secure cloud-based healthcare IT to Lebanon with Microsoft Azure

Imhotep, web-based support for non-computer-savvy clinics and doctors of all specialties, comes to Lebanon

Exquitech, a Lebanon-based IT solutions provider, identified a major challenge in the local healthcare market: many small clinics and doctors lacked the IT infrastructure and expertise to computerize their administrative and patient record systems. To address this gap for non-computer-savvy users, they sought to develop a hosted solution, which led them to partner with Microsoft Corporation and utilize the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

The solution was Imhotep, a secure web-based application built on Microsoft Azure. This provided clinicians with an easy-to-use electronic medical record system, leveraging Azure's HIPAA-compliant security and high availability features like Azure Site Recovery. For Exquitech, accessing Azure through the Microsoft BizSpark Plus program saved significant time and resources in development. The result was a flexible and secure platform that helped their customers successfully adopt digital tools for the first time, enhancing Exquitech's business and modernizing patient care.
