IDEX, an IoT solutions expert, faced the challenge of helping fire departments monitor and maintain highly complex fire trucks without the costly downtime of manual diagnostics. In partnership with Microsoft Corporation, IDEX used Windows 10 IoT Core and Azure to build a secure smart truck platform for E-ONE fire and rescue vehicles.

Microsoft Corporation enabled IDEX and REV to launch AXIS, a connected solution that links truck systems and delivers real-time vehicle health data to technicians and fleet managers. The platform improved reliability, enabled remote troubleshooting on computers and smartphones, and provided customizable reports and preventive maintenance insights that help reduce downtime and support safer emergency response.
