ICL improves personal data collection with Azure, creates brighter future for the communities it serves

I Choose Life Africa, a Kenyan nonprofit focused on sustainable development, faced challenges in accurately collecting and managing data for its education and healthcare initiatives. To improve the monitoring of student attendance and academic progression, as well as household health information, the organization turned to Microsoft, utilizing Microsoft Azure and Office 365 for a more efficient solution.

By building its Biometric Student Information Management (BioSIM) app on Microsoft Azure, I Choose Life Africa automated data collection across more than 100 schools. This Microsoft solution provided an open, flexible, and offline-capable platform, which led to a significant reduction in operational costs and a major increase in efficiency and impact. The organization is now able to gather accurate, real-time data, helping it to better serve its communities and affect over one million lives.
