Hunter Industries, a large U.S. irrigation and landscape lighting company, needed a better mobile solution for its 120 salespeople who were juggling bulky laptops and limited tablets while traveling. The company wanted a single device that could run essential sales software, connect securely to the corporate network, and improve both productivity and presentations, using Microsoft Surface Pro 3, Windows 8.1, and Office 365.

Microsoft Corporation helped Hunter Industries standardize on Surface Pro 3 devices and migrate to Office 365 with OneDrive for Business, giving sales staff one portable system for files, email, collaboration, and customer presentations. The results included faster access to sales tools, less after-hours work, easier remote deployment and support, overnight replacement for broken devices, and a stronger professional image. Hunter Industries also reported better sales effectiveness and greater flexibility, with about 175 Surface devices eventually in use.
