Hungarian pharma leader saves both time and money with multi-factor cloud authentication

EGIS Pharmaceuticals PLC, a large Hungarian pharma company with employees across more than 60 countries, needed a more secure and simpler way to manage access for its global workforce. Its older on-premises token-based authentication was costly and cumbersome, and the company wanted a cloud-based alternative from Microsoft Corporation that would work well for remote and traveling employees.

Microsoft Corporation implemented Azure Multi-Factor Authentication, working with local partner ALPHANET and alongside the company’s move to Microsoft Office 365. The change removed the need for physical tokens and infrastructure, improved secure access for 1,000 users worldwide, and saved an estimated 120 staff days per year while reducing administration and IT costs.
